The Adirondack Balloon Festival is September 22 - 25, 2011
Witness the wonder as hot air balloons of all colors, shapes and sizes set launch all at once over the Adirondack countryside at several events throughout the weekend.
THURSDAY
Crandall Park, Glens Falls
- 5:00 PM - Opening Ceremony - Flight of 12+ balloons - Performance of The Stony Creek Band in the shell.
FRIDAY
Floyd Bennett Memorial Airport, Queensbury
- 5:00 PM - Flight of 60+ balloons including special shape balloons at the Flyod Bennet Memorial Airport
Downtown, Glens Falls
- 5:30pm-9:30pm followed by fireworks - Downtown Glens Falls Balloon Festival: Closing up Glen Street for a huge, family-friendly block party. The Boothill Band, Bobby Dick & The Sundowners, over 50 classic cars, meet & greet hot air balloonists, kids activities, restaurants and shops open.
SATURDAY
Floyd Bennett Memorial Airport, Queensbury
- 5:00 AM - 11:00 AM - Breakfast - Airport Hanger
- 6:00 AM - 7:00 PM - Civic organizations have food and beverages on site
- 6:30 AM - Flight of 90+ balloons including special shapes
- 6:00 AM - Entertainment - kids fun activities, Balloon Festival Art Show, kite flying, military aircraft display, tourism tent
- 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM - DJ with music in the Entertainment tent
- 5:00 PM - Balloon Launch of 90+ (including some special shaped balloons!)
SUNDAY
Floyd Bennett Memorial Airport, Queensbury
- 5:00 AM - 11:00 AM - "Big Balloon Breakfast" - Airport Hangar
- 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM - Civic organizations have food and beverages on site
- 6:30 AM - Balloon Launch 90+ balloons (including some special shaped balloons!)
- 6:00 AM - 12:00 PM - Entertainment - kids fun activities, Balloon Festival Art Show, kite flying, military aircraft display, tourism tent
- 9:00 AM - Protestant Church Service in Entertainment Tent
Downtown, Glens Falls
- 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM - Jonathan Newell Band performance
- 5:00 PM - Flight of 15-20 balloons for people looking for a balloon flight at cost/person

All balloon launches scheduled are weather permitting
No dogs or pets are allowed at the Adirondack Balloon Festival
